Do you have the original tool kit from the bike? It has a spark plug tool that works for me! All of my spark plug sockets are too fat to go into the spark plug hole so I opened up the kit one day out of despiration and wala it worked. Haven't bought a good one that fits yet since this one works OK for now no more often than I use it. Hope you get your troubles fixed. Can't help with the other problems without actually seeing the problem but my feeling is that all hoses should be connected and the gas should not be on prime.
